Why Join Your Parent Breed Club?
 1. To protect the future of the breed.
2. To insure the education of future generations of breeders.
3. To remain current and participate in all health studies pertinent to the breed. (As a national parent club we can interact with the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals in studies that are important to the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier. We can participate in the Purina Parent Club program in which weight circles are submitted to earn money in health studies.)
4. To showcase the dogs that breeders have produced each year by holding National Specialties.
5. To encourage our young people to demonstrate their leadership in the breed by showing and breeding.
6. To support all activities which strive to improve the breed and demonstrate their loyalty and keen sense of companionship.
7. To publish information regarding the health and care and well being of the breed.
8. To identify those individuals who have worked tirelessly and to promote the breed.
9. To assist members in fighting the current onslaught of anti-breeder and anti-pet legislation, as well as rhetoric put forth by animal rights activists.
10. To do all that is possible to advance the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier through proper sportsmanship both in and out of the show ring.

Through club membership we debate issues of health and legislation presented in the modern purebred world. We educate each other in the various organized events our dogs are eligible for so as to show the public the versatility of our breed.. We congratulate each other in our successes and we comfort each other in our times of sorrow. Together we are stronger than as lone individuals.

Please join us in the continued development of the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier, a breed we all love and wish to protect.
